The (AquaSonics) WAPTU portable desalination and power unit is capable of co-generating 1,200 to 5,000 gallons of fresh water per day and 30 to 100 kwh of electricity from a variety of fuels. The units, weighing less than 2,000 lbs., are suitable for providing temporary water and electricity following a flood, earthquake or aother disaster where basic infrastructures are not functioning. Sea water, brine or polluted local streams, ponds and lakes all can be used as a water source.
